| Village Submits Report to Ensure Continued Lower Cost Flood Insurance Premiums |

Village of Key Biscayne submitted a Floodplain Management Plan (FMA) update (available online as a PDF document) to
the National Flood Insurance Program's (NFIP) Community Rating System (CRS)
program to meet the October 1, 2009, deadline.

| Causeway Tree Removal Part of County Beach Improvement Project |

| Many residents and visitors have contacted Village staff to find out why Australian pines along the Rickenbacker Causeway are being removed. Officials at the Miami-Dade County Department of Public Works, Causeway Division, responded to a request for information by Village Manager Genaro "Chip" Iglesias on September 22, 2009.

| Holiday Colony Residents Can Connect to New Sewer |

| Residents in the Holiday Colony neighborhood can now connect to the new sewer system installed in the area as part of the Village Water-Sewer-Reuse Water (WSR) Project. Miami-Dade County gave Project officials the go-ahead late Thursday, September 10, 2009 for properties in the Zone 4 (Holiday Colony) area only.
